Sometimes it takes a very sensible, practical, non-magical girl to deal with two witch-sisters who are at odds with each other. Clover Twig fits the role perfectly. Mrs. Eckles, the neighborhood witch, hires Clover to clean her messy cottage. Clover eagerly gets right to work, but she has no idea what adventures await her when Mrs. Eckles leaves for several days and the cottage is infiltrated by a beautiful cake and the evil Mesmeranza.
