Dog and Bear:  Two's Company

Laura Vaccaro Seeger (2008), 32 pages
Illustrated by Laura Vaccaro Seeger
Audience: Pre K / K - 1st Grade
The clever yet uptight Dog knows how to make life interesting for his friend Bear--whether it's threatening to run away or eating an entire cake without Bear knowing about it. In the last of these three short stories, Dog pushes things too far and exhausts Bear by bossing him around. It is only at this breaking point that we see how much Dog truly cares for Bear. Preschoolers and kindergartners will enjoy the warm artwork and characters bursting with personality. An excellent choice for reading aloud or as an early easy reader.
